Amelia's 16 month stats, Solenopsis Invicta, and my Griswoldian Aspiration

Amelia had her 16th month appointment and we were pleased she's made it this far (as you will see below). For those keeping score she weighed in at a very average 22.5 lbs, is now 2'7 and still has lots and lots of smarts (a bigger head than most). She is growing into quite the fun little girl.

She is also growing into a little bit of a reckless little girl - probably taking a little bit after her dad - falling against a table on her ear....

and sticking her hands into Fire Ant mounds (solenopsis invicta) and getting lots of bites (she's all healed now - was only for couple days)

Meanwhile... since this is the first christmas we will have in our house I wanted to go all out on the lights. Problem is... its pretty high - do I dare climb to the tippy top? or will the next post be about my broken leg and fire ant bites when I fall off the roof into an ant pile.

Go for it! Go all the way! More lights! More lights!

I'd suggest NO more lights, it is not worth the fall -- I remember "reckless Josh".
Amelia is a little girl now who is so darling. Love, mom

Geez, will you guys keep an eye on that little one! I thought I would just add to the guilt that accompanies any minor scrape, pain or accident with your child. The house looks beautiful, the only thing to make it better would be...snow!

I love the big ornament ball in your yard. For being the first year in your house you have a lot of lights.

Sorry to hear about Amelia's accidents. I am glad she is okay.
