Texas Book Festival and Día de los Muertos

Third year for us going to the Texas state book festival. This year we actually got a book. We had Amelia and Jett meet Lisa Loeb and she signed her childrens songbook for them.
Afterwards she performed her songs..... she was taking requests... however Jett wasnt assertive enough to get her to perform his fave of late - skidamarink
Afterwards we spent the time rolling down the hills at the capital - and chasing birds before making it over to
Día de los Muertos - The day of the dead. I had been wanting to see this for a while. We realized that Melisa isnt ever included in pics so we got one of us.
We sold it to the kids as a skeleton parade. We were interested in seeing if it would scare them. They, however, loved it.
There were lots of well done "dead".
They also had craft booths for the kids to work out their demons, color their skulls, or make paper flowers. Amelia chose skulls.
They levitated.
