Amelia's 2 Month Statistics

On Wednesday we took Amelia to Dr. Stanton for her 2 month appointment (and the beginning of many many shots - she only cried a little while).

Here is how she measured out.

Weight - 10 lbs 11 ounces (+2 lbs 14 ounces from birth weight) - 50th percentile
Height - 23 1/2 inches ( +2 1/4 inches from birth height) -90th percentile
Head - 40 cm (I cant remember what the head measurement at birth was) 75th percentile

So the doctor's assumption was that she has model height - but she isn't a skinny model - just an average one. Also, she has a bigger brain than 7 of 10 babies (that or a thicker skull).

I did some rough math to see where she would be at in ten years.
At age ten (maintaining the same rate of growth).

Weight - 179.16 lbs
Height - Just under thirteen feet tall.

With a giant looming on the not too distant future we thought we would take advantage of her small size by sitting in her fun chair and playing with some toys.

And a new fun game - making faces with dad.

I just hope no one slaps her on the back and it sticks.

Grandma Nell was telling me last week that Melisa was telling her last week that Amelia is just getting cuter and cuter. You know how garbled messages can get in a game of telephone, but I think this one came through true! Emily
